As I'm writing this, the first episode of the second season of Daredevil: Born Again is less than sixty hours away. After posting about the first teaser trailer, I kept expecting a "proper" trailer that never materialized. Instead we've been immersed in a steady stream of more teasers, TV spots, shorts, and the very occasional clip. Much of it has been remixes of shots we've already seen, layered with a slow but steady glimpses of new footage.
It probably sounds like I'm complaining. I'm really not. This all feels strategic on Marvel's part. They clearly don't want to reveal too much, and I respect that. They want us to be surprised, and I want that too.
As a Swede, I also couldn't help but think of all these bits and pieces as being invited to participate in an IKEA style "build your own trailer" project. If I'd had the time this past week, I might have done that!
It's also been encouraging to see the almost universally positive early reactions from the people who've been fortunate enough to get to watch the whole season. And, from what little we have seen, I have to say I'm intrigued.
The days before a new season of Daredevil – whether we're talking about the original show or when it was "born again" – have always been stressful. The stakes with this character have always been high for me. This time around, I feel nothing but blissful anticipation.
For anyone who wants to build their excitement ahead of the release of the first episode, I did at least manage to compile a YouTube playlist (for traditional portrait videos), and collect most of the Daredevil related shorts from Marvel's channel in a video slider below that, so that we at least have it all in one place.
What are you guys most excited about? I look forward to seeing Jessica Jones back, Karen kicking ass, and Matt just being Matt. Charlie Cox has this character down to such an art at this point, I could devote an entire post to just analyzing those subtle head movements he makes.

From all the teasers and short videos, I’m really excited about the whole second season. I’m very curious about Mr. Charles, and how he factors into the story. It really does seem like this season will be more in line in tone and feel as the Netflix series.
