Daredevil on Netflix: Quick NYCC round-up

Oct 12, 2014

It’s been a busy weekend on my end and so much news to report from NYCC that I’m going to have to get back to you on this one. For now, I just want to try to do a quick post with links to the news coverage from the Daredevil panel, so that it’s at least all in one place!

General news

Coverage of the Daredevil panel at NYCC

Videos from the panel and cast interviews

From top to bottom, the panel itself (released earlier today, doesn’t include footage from the show), followed by cast interviews, parts 1 and 2.

I will try to return ASAP, especially since I really want to talk about the additions to the cast, some of whom I’m really excited about! For now, I bid you all a good night. 😉

  1. Medda

I was surprised that they’ve included the Owl. And the descriptions of the scenes they showed certainly piqued my interest. Still trying to keep my expectations low, though.

  2. Steve S.

By the time I knew that the cast was going to be at NYCC, tickets had been sold out for ages. After watching the first 15 minutes of the video of the show’s panel, I should’ve just driven up from Maryland (only 3.5 hours) and found a way to get into the con. Imagine being 60 years old and still being completely geeked out by something like this!!!

Gotta say, I’m pretty nervous reading things like “DeKnight said there will be times when audiences won’t be sure who to root for.” Probably over thinking this, but I’d hate to see Matt turn into Heisenberg. (Full disclosure, I recently finished Breaking Bad.)

  4. Medda

What he said reminded me of something Frank Miller (I think) has said before: that considering his origins, Matt could have easily become a villain.

That said, I wouldn’t want to see him be all Heisenberg-y either.

  5. Tate

My favorite part was hearing about the moral grey areas and not knowing who to root for in some scenarios, especially DeKnight’s comment that Matt Murdock is “one bad day away from being Frank Castle.” That tells me these guys really get Daredevil.
