Among the news coming out of Comic Con International in San Diego, Daredevil and its creators were nominated for six Eisner Awards and managed to walk away with three, including Mark Waid’s win in the Best Writer category. Daredevil won Best Continuing Series and Best Single Issue, for Daredevil #7. Needless to say, I’m thrilled to see my favorite character appear in a book that’s as great as it is right now and to have its creators be acknowledged for their fantastic work. Congratulations to everyone involved!

In other news…

Another news item to come out in the last couple of days was David Slade’s decision to quit as director for the planned Daredevil reboot. Fox will now have to rush to find someone else before the movie rights to the character reverts to Marvel. I will have reason to return to this topic again in a separate post.

Oh, and I hope you didn’t miss the preview of Daredevil #15, on sale next week!
