Here’s the bad news: My computer is in the shop, is going to cost a painful amount of money to repair and I won’t get it back until next week. This explain my recent absence and I’m writing this from a borrowed computer that will just have to do for now.
The good news, however, is sensational! Yes, this could be in reference to the fact that Daredevil #2 will be out tomorrow or that Daredevil #1 hit the sixth position on the sales charts for July (something I’ll have reason to return to). However, the biggest news of all is something that just has me both over the moon excited and downright touched. Just a short while ago, Marvel announced that they’ve made an audio version of Daredevil #1. And you can listen to it right now!
Not only do I personally find this enjoyable to listen to (for instance, Mark Waid reads from his script, and I always find “raw scripts” rather interesting to get access to), this also makes Daredevil accessible to a whole new audience who would otherwise be left out of the loop. Yes, Marvel went ahead and created a version of Daredevil that the title character himself could enjoy. I applaud this effort and am so very impressed by it! Thank you!
I’ll try to get back to you guys shortly – I have a review to write later in the week! – even tough my old MacBook Pro will be sorely missed for a while longer. Meanwhile, I’ll give the Daredevil #1 Audio Edition another listen and recommend you do the same!
I love this news (except the part about your computer, may it get well soon!).
Strang. I’m also having trouble with my MacBook Pro. I love the thing but it’s driving me nuts. I love the idea on an audio comic!
VERY cool. I’m trying to hook a disenchanted DC fan on DD right now. Just sent her a link.
