So, this post got delayed about a week and a half, but I hope you’ll forgive me. Plenty to post this time around though which tends to happen when things start to build up. As some of you may know, I’ve been busy with work due to the election for European Parliament (I work in politics). With the election over and things winding down for the summer, I can finally get back to what really matters. Who cares about a safe and prosperous European continent when there are more pressing concerns to get to, such as continuing the quest to chronicle the life and times of a certain scarlet-clad blind vigilante?

News

  • Nothing to report in the art department, unless you count the lovely Daredevil sketch Andy Diggle himself drew and posted on Twitter. Unless we’re going for stick figure minimalism, it’s safe to say that Diggle himself is recruiting outside help in this department. Well, we hope so.

  • Diggle also shared a page of script which must be from Daredevil since it features both ninjas and Detective Kurtz. Have a look at it HERE.

  • Daredevil Noir hit the stands last week which I doubt anyone could have missed. Check the previous post for my review. There is also an early preview up of Daredevil Noir #4. Don’t look at it if you haven’t read #3 and want to avoid spoilers.

  • There is an early art preview of Daredevil #119 up. It’s been six weeks since the last issue so I’m really looking forward to this one. Also, at the bottom of the first page is an image that seems to suggest that DD will play some kind of role in The Iron Patriot Acts (details to be revealed…) that will start in September.

  • Twitter buddy RiffGaffer posted a review of Guardian Devil which talks about the story and its significance. Guardian Devil was not a favorite arc of mine, but, as they say, to each his own.

  • Also, keep checking out The Matt Murdock Chronicles where reviews of old Daredevil issues are posted, in order, at an impressive pace. Blogger Robert has now reached the mid-70’s of volume 1.

BLOG UPDATES

As you may know, the final results of the word balloon contest will be announced tomorrow so now is your last chance to vote if you haven’t already. The prize will be one of a kind, I can tell you that much.

  1. I really want to know who's going to be the next Daredevil artist. Come on Marvel just give us the name. You don't have to give any interior art. Just tease us. Give us a riddle…anything.
