Okay, not much to report this week as far as news goes, so I’m sticking to links and blog updates. Of course, there’s a new issue of Daredevil Noir #2 out for which I just posted a review. As you can probably tell by the scarcity of posts around these parts, this has been a really busy week for me at work. That should start to turn around eventually. Also, some time after June 7, I’ll be able to post a rather interesting entry about why being a Daredevil fan has made me better at my job. Who says a comic habit can’t be good for you? But I can’t really talk about it just yet.
Daredevil Noir #2 reviews can be found at iFanboy (where the sole reviewer so far had the audacity of giving this great issue a 2 out of 5 rating AND actually use the word “cripple”), and at ComiXtreme.
Not much to report obviously, but I’ll tell you a little about what’s coming up as soon as I have time to get to it. First of all, the next installment of the history of the radar sense is overdue. This could be in part because we’re talking Miller time here and just the amount of material to cover is a little intimidating, but I really should be getting to that fairly soon. I’m also introducing something called the Matt Murdock Mood Index, which is a humorous measure of just how crappy Matt’s life is at any given time. With it, I intend to do a little comparison between Miller’s, Bendis’s, and Brubaker’s runs to see if the book really is more depressing than ever or if it just seems that way. Now, mind you, I didn’t say it wasn’t good, but I’d be willing to bet that Matt really has been unusually down on his luck the last three years. Anyway, we’re not talking hard science here, but I thought we could have a little fun with it. I’m a geek, I admit it.
Okay, that’s it for now! Thanks for commenting and visiting even when I’m being a lazy blogger. I’ll do better when RL allows for it.
