It’s official: Diggle is the new Daredevil writer as of issue #501

Well, I came home from a lovely evening of girl chat over one too many glasses of wine with my best friend, logged on to ManWithoutFear.com and saw that the message board had erupted in talk about the major changes that are just around the corner for our favorite title. If you want to vent and speculate, head over to the message board and share your thoughts.

The news, for those who’ve managed to miss this bombshell of a story, is that the current arc will be Brubaker’s last. His last issue will be the renumbered Daredevil #500 (= vol 2, #120), and Andy Diggle will come on board with issue #501, in August presumably if there are no other delays. Joey Q talks about all this and more in this week’s MyCup o’ Joe, the link to which can be found in this official posting on the Marvel.com website. As far as I can tell, there’s no word on whether Lark will stay on the book or if there will be a change in artists.

When you’re done reading up on everything, log on to Twitter and start following Andy Diggle (heck, while you’re at it, feel free to follow yours truly as well). I’ll have plenty of reason to return to this news over the weekend.

  1. Has it been confirmed that DD will resume its original numbering then? I guess I always thought it would but I hadn’t heard anything definite. Roll on issue 500!

  2. Woah! Great new background image, Christine!

  3. Thanks Francesco! I’m still tweaking the design a little. Come back in another hour and it’ll be smokin’! 🙂

  4. Neat. 🙂
