"Hell’s Kitchen" update and celebrating 100 posts!

I bet you’re wondering why this feat is worthy of its own post. Well, to be honest, this is not my first time as a blogger. It is, however, the first time I’ve kept at it for more than twenty-five posts, so you’ll have to excuse the self-congratulatory pat on the back here. This is also the first time I’ve run a blog with any kind of readership (albeit small) attached and that does a lot to keep things fun. Thanks to everyone for commenting on some of my posts and thanks for being regular readers. I’ll stay busy trying to keep you interested.

Before going on (yes, I thought I’d look at some fun stats below), I’d just like to let you know that the next installment of my Daredevil parody cartoon Hell’s Kitchen is now up. As you can see, it’s got its own button underneath the header. This time, I added a bonus strip in between #2 and #3, so make sure you don’t miss anything. There are four strips up in total.

So how about those stats? Well, trusty old Sitemeter keeps track of visitors (see the footer), but it also keeps track of some of the search words people have used to land on this blog. My favorite one so far is “tony stark mpreg.” I find that to be hilarious. I also think it’s funny that many of the followers of televangelist Mike Murdock also seem to find this site quite often. I hope they find it helpful since the post they get is the one where I actually posted a link to the website of the actual Mike Murdock. And yes, most of them click on it. That way everyone is happy. I also find the search string “car vs driver completist blogspot” to be somewhat humorous. I’m just wondering what that person was looking for. There’s also “becky blake email address.” Since there are probably quite a few real life Becky Blakes out there, that one isn’t too surprising. Oh, and I hope I haven’t rubbed anyone the wrong way by posting this (personal integrity and all that), but I don’t think any of these anonymous web surfers will come back here. This blog obviously wasn’t what they were looking for.

So, just a few short words on the future of this blog: I hope to keep going strong through July and also get most of the stuff up in the “back door” section by the end of the month. After that, I go away for two weeks before starting a new job. Part of the reason I’ve so far been able to spend a couple of hours a day on things related to this blog is that I’ve been working from home and have been somewhat underemployed lately. In the future, it will be impossible for me to keep this pace up. I hope this blog will have a long life ahead of it, but come August, I probably won’t have time to post more than maybe twice a week. I hope you guys will still come around then.

Last, but not least, if you like this blog and link it to a site of your own, let me know, and I’ll return the favor. Also, any kind of input on this site generally is welcome, so either send me an email (theothermurdockpapers (at) gmail (dot) com) or write something in the guest book. Yeah, it’s just a lame backdated post, but it was the best I could do with what Blogger gives me. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

I have to say, as a DD fan, I love reading your blog. I even have it on RSS feed – and I check it often to see when you post something new. Keep posting, and I’ll keep reading!

    Hooray for 100 posts! 😀

Thank you so much! I hope I won’t run out of things to write about anytime soon, and I hope to be able to post at least twice a week after I start my new job too. DD is such an awesome character and with 40+ years of comic book history there’s just so darn much to say!

I’m not sure I have a hundred posts on my blog at all, or even on both of them together. Congratulations!
