Hell’s Kitchen is my parody web comic (currently on hiatus), which re-imagines the cast of Daredevil as South Park characters. Basic character designs were made with the South Park studio web application while alterations and backgrounds were made by yours truly in Photoshop. All of these strips where available on my old Blogger-hosted site, and thought it was about time to migrate them over here. The series will be continued when time and inspiration allows.

Some background info: The first strip came about after Foggy’s biggest fan Gloria (obliquely mentioned in the first strip) and I were throwing some ideas around for fun on the Man Without Fear message board, including a joke about how there should be more karaoke in Daredevil. This gave me the idea to use the South Park version of the cover to Daredevil #106 that I’d made and take it from there. Click each image to enlarge (if your browser isn’t javascript enabled, they will open in a separate window instead) and enjoy!

  1. “It’s cold up here”

South Park Matt is being his usual miserable self when Foggy comes by to offer some mindless entertainment. It’s the kind of thing you’d never see in the real book.

Matt can neither sing nor hold his liquor, and shares an awkward moment with Becky Blake.

  3. “Hell’s Kitchen Interlude”

I took a break from ongoing story and threw together this little fourth wall breaking tribute to friend and fellow Daredevil fan Alice. The image was originally linked to her business www.brailletshirts.com.

  7. “Messed up”

Following his visit to the shrink, Matt has a nightmare encounter with Mr Fear. And yes, this whole joke is built on his looking an awful lot like Darth Vader. But Matt wouldn’t know that, would he? I guess I just discovered a plot whole in my own comic.

  8. “Brand New Day”

Matt hasn’t just had his head messed with by his usual enemies, but by Mephisto as well. Here, he meets up with poor continuity-f#&$d Spider-Man for lunch.
