Christine, I also found your blog this year ,and it has been a source of constant enjoyment. I love DD and I love a community that loves him to. As far as what I would like to see happen: DD is alway at his best when he's in over his head. He has a great place in the Universe but I would love to see him adventure with the X-Man or bail out the Avengers (not join). I would love to see an old school fight issue with little story and lots of punches, kicks, and flips (naturally without compromising the great stories). I think the current creative team is on the right track and I'm looking forward to the coming year. Daredevil rules!

@Andrew: Well, it was very cool of you to pop in, and thanks for your many contributions!

I, too, feel a little conflicted about DD being involved in bigger events. I would love for him to get more exposure, but never at the expense of all the good things that come about from his being such an independent character. An event that features other characters with similar power levels, and makes sense for him to be involved in, would be great though.

2009, for me, is also the year I discovered this blog. And you can count on me to be around in the year ahead. :]

I usually love that DD occupies his own corner of the Marvel U because of the consistency we get in terms of his characterization and the tone of his own stories. But I think it would be great for him to finally get some recognition outside of his own series (I can list tonnes of characters who I think have benefited from that kind of exposure) and hopefully 'Shadowland' is the beginning of something like that in 2010.

Happy New Year everyone! :]

That's not a bad idea. I totally think there would be a market for that, and it feels like Marvel was sort of testing the waters with him as a character with the Blood of the Tarantula one-shot and the Daredevil annual. I was expecting something to develop from that right away, but now would probably be a better time. Hell, I'd even take a Black Tarantula discussing Hand leadership with White Tiger over tea one-shot. ;) And Clay Mann is all kinds of awesome, of course.

I want to see Black Tarantula get his own mini series drawn by Clay Mann. I want to know what he's doing in the Hand while we focus on Murdock as the leader. I want it so bad! Now, Marvel, now!
