I just came across this website through random googling. I was a Marvel-addict back in the ’70s, and those Gerber issues were my main introduction to the character and as I was just really getting into the whole Marvel universe, including the FF & Spidey (Romita-era) reprints, the utter bizarreness and even inappropriateness (as noted by DD himself at one point) of some of Gerber’s DD stories wasn’t at all apparant to me. Matter of fact, it was from this run that I first began to appreciate Gerber’s sense of humor, including his “Gerber Curse” essay which was inadvertantly printed backwards in the letters pages!

There's a point where, one just sits down and watches the troll (or the tough guy) just trying to catch his tail like a little puppy, going over and over over the same thing.

haha...This post shows up on my dashboard for my Wrodpress blog as a link so I figured I'd come back and look. I always forget to check e-mail boxes. I even have plugins on my sites to directly reply to people by e-mail as well and write my comments on my blog from e-mail, but I never use it. A lot of plugins I don't use...I have more blogs than I can count.

Trolling is pretty childish. I'm a bit of a "retired" troll myself. I like to observe people online more than anything now.

I'm about your age so being a troll still would be sort of silly. I'm probably a know-it-all now too actually because I read so much, but every once in a while I have to take things a little less seriously when people get too full of themselves.

Genetics researcher must be rewarding work. Fascinating area of science. Do you have a blog that discusses that aspect of your life as well?

Well, thank you troll! (Let’s hope you checked the email follow-up box so you actually come back to read this…).

When I read that post, I initially thought I might be a “post whore,” but then I realized I don’t quite fit that category either. I don’t include nearly enough smilies in my posts.

As for being a troll… Not exactly something I aim for. I think I might come across as something of a know-it-all sometimes, but I try to go the extra mile to be nice and friendly when I gently inform people that they’re wrong. “That’s stupid” isn’t sophisticated enough for me. LOL
